If you have your own Exchange Server, ITD can set up your Smartphones and other Microsoft Mobile devices to fully synchronise your email, contacts and calendars and even share your folders with other users if you wish to on the move – no need to connect your phone to your PC with a cradle!
If you currently use or want to use Blackberry phones, you will need a separate Blackberry server if you want to facilitate fully sychronised services on the move. Without a separate server you will have to cradle the phone to synchronise the folders. With a Blackberry server you will be able to fully synchronise all folders, wherever you are.
Having your own Blackberry server needn’t be that expensive if you have several users in the organisation and with between 10-15 users you may even qualify for free Blackberry Lite software.
If you have between 1 and 10 users and you are unlikely to significantly increase this number, a financially efficient way to get fully synchronised email is by using a Hosted Exchange and/or Hosted Blackberry server with ITD.
